Eran Katz’s Super Memory Power

EranKatz, the Guinness Book of Record Holder for Best Memory said we might not remember everything, however, we can remember everything we chose to remember.

People forgets – not because they are getting old and senile – it is more likely that they did not use, and train, their brains enough to retain all the information.

Eran Katz got himself into the Israeli Guinness Book of Record because he could recite a string of 500 numbers from front to back and then back to front!

Until today, this memory stunt record has not been beaten. We might not be able to see how he did that 500-number stunt, however, you can check out his memory stunt demonstration at the Brain Education Conference at the United Nations.

If you like to strengthen your brain power and pick up a few useful memory techniques to improve the quality of your life – from healthier and happier relationship with folks around you to remembering procedures and processes, faces and names to improve work life and possibly your salary – check out his coming seminars in Singapore.  The Super Memory Power Seminar and The Nobel Prize Brain Workshop will be great for you while the The Super Student Success Seminar will be better for your young ones. Go  enjoy your summer holiday in Singapore and learn something that helps you get healthier, happier and possibly richer seems like a good deal.

 Introduction to LOHAS

For those who are concerned about living a healthy lifestyle, you would most likely have heard of LOHAS. For the others, LOHAS is an acronym for Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability.

What this means is that LOHAS represents a group (a very large group) of people who are concerned about and are focused on health and fitness, the environment, personal development, sustainable living, and social justice.

There are lots of information on the Internet about this already and a simple search for “lohas” should yield you lots of results.

At Nurture Your Own, we are not LOHAS fanatic, but we are in agreement with the ideals of LOHAS. Growing and eating your own sprouts, healthy living, focus on alternative healing and more; these are topics that we have been dealing with here. With LOHAS, an expanded dimension is added and we hope that as we share more, you will add your views and comments so that we will all be part of a big learning community.

If you want to Write about LOHAS, do let us know.

Doctor Bob Koh Updates on His 3 Recent Successes

Dear friends

If you are visiting this blog for the first time, a warm welcome.

To all you wonderful people who are regulars here, it is nice to be back. I’m right now waiting to catch a flight to visit one of my patients. I’m sitting here in the lounge feeling nice and good because of some recent development.

Old Lady in Singapore Walks Again After Being Immobile for 12 Months!

One of the many reasons that convinced me to write for NurtureYourOwn is because of Vivienne, also one of the co-writers of this blog. For the last few months, I was helping with her mother’s recovery as the old lady was paralysed after a spinal surgery in July 2007. Unlike some 75-year old women who would simply give up due to old age and failing health, Vivienne’s mother yearned to walk again. Her wishes were simple. She just wanted to do simple things on her own … like walking to the bathroom without the wheelchair, able to walk a few steps to the kitchen to fetch a cup of waters, etc. Things that we took for granted. Things that physically-challenged folks see as a luxury.

After treating her for 3 months from 18 April 2008, the old lady recently rewarded me on 25 July by standing up and walked 10 paces with a walking frame. She did it with much difficulty and effort on her part, and it was really heart warming to see her walk out from her room. She couldn’t walk for the past 12 months. And, she only managed to stand in June, yet in July, she could walk. Since helping myself to recover and walk from paralysis in 2003, seeing miracles is a major joy of my work in treating the impossibles or incurables. I knew what it is like being paralysed and I like to help people like Vivienne’s mother.

If you know of anyone who is paralyzed for less than 12 months – from any kind of physical injury, nerve compression, cauda equina syndrome, stroke and unsuccessful surgery, feel free to contact me for evaluation. I will not promise the impossible. I only treat patients whom I have at least 80% confidence to heal.

Recently my mind is very busy with 3 cases which their respective specialists used the term “incurable”. One is Motor Neuron Disease and another is Poly Myositis, both are degenerative nerve disorder. The last case is a young 15-year old patient with scoliosis of 68% deviation where surgery is indicated necessary.

There’s Hope for a Malaysian Medical Doctor who was said to be incurable with Poly Myositis

The patient with Poly Myositis (a nerve disorder where the muscles waste away, and she is slowly but definitely losing her ability to walk) is a lady OB GYN Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her husband is also a medical doctor, a Gastroenterology Specialist. They both made my day when they said that every medical doctor should have a wellness specialist like me to take care of their health.

I only treated the Poly Myositis patient for 2 sessions on 13 July and 14th July 2008.She rewarded me with a wide beaming smile, as she realized that there might be hope for her condition after exhausting all medical options for the past 3 years. As a doctor herself, she was deeply disappointed and frustrated when her doctors told her hers was an “incurable disease”. All these years, She helped and is continuing to support and give life to other and yet no one was able to help her when her own life is withering.

By 15 October 2008, I will be able to share with you all whether, I am successful in preventing further deterioration with her condition and be able to give her a permanent solution to her Poly Myositis.

My 14-year old Patient has grown taller despite severe scoliosis

The 68% scoliosis 14 years old boy has grown taller on 26 July 2008, since starting treatment less than 30 days ago on 5 July 2008. Wow. Cool. His father said if I can improve his son’s deviation to 48% within a year, that will be a miracle. Because most of the doctors they talked to, said its “impossible”. I want to make “impossible” becomes “possible”. Not just for fun, though it will be fun seeing the little boy became healthier and taller with each passing day. Definitely not due to pride or ego but it is fulfilling to see a boy grows into a man.

All the above 3 cases … I do not use invasive drugs nor surgeries. I don’t just use one treatment protocols, I used several, For those who are keen to know the modalities I used, please check out my earlier post by clicking here.

Now, I got a new case on knee. That prompted me thinking, “Is knee pain/degeneration really irreversible and knee replacement surgery the only option?

As I mentioned in my previous posting I have great respect for Mainstream Western Medicine, and I belief that future high quality patient care lies in Integrative Medicine.

However, I am often baffle when, after management of knee pain for many years, the patient is finally told that they will need a knee replacement surgery. Patients who managed to see me and I am able to reverse the surgery in most cases that I take on.

For those of you who are concerned about whether you will have a knee problem when you are in your sixties, should see me for an evaluation if you are above 35 yrs now. An examination now will show whether you will be a prospect for knee replacement surgery 20-25 years later.

Ok got to go board my flight now. We’ll catch up again. Contact me if you like.

Warmest Regards
Doctor Bob Koh

31 May 2008 is “World No Tobacco Day”

Each year on May 31, the World Health Organization celebrates “World No Tobacco Day,” a day that WHO uses to highlight the risks of smoking and to advocate for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption. This year, the theme is TOBACCO-FREE YOUTH.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “Young people are aggressively targeted by the tobacco industry which spends billions of dollars each year marketing its products.” To protect the world’s youth from experimenting with tobacco and becoming regular users, this year’s campaign calls for a ban on all forms of tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.”

Even if you are a smoker, stub it out just for 31 May 2008. After all, I’m sure you know all the harmful effects of tars and nicotine. Anyway, stopping one day won’t kill you, in fact it will help you to lower these risks in 24 hours.

  • Risk of a heart attack reduces
  • The lungs start to be cleared of mucous and toxins

If you want to know more about benefit of quit smoking, click here as this article listed the goodness from 20 minutes to 5 years.

Welcome our latest writer, Dr Bob Koh

Filed under: News — Vivienne Quek @ Apr 28th, 2008

It is with great pleasure that I introduce our newest writer, Dr. Bob Koh. He is the first medical doctor who has agreed to share his experience regularly at NurtureYourOwn.

Dr Bob Koh has been in health education and wellness consultation for more than 30 years. His original focus was on healthy diet and proper food preparations, as many people do eat their way into hospitals, unintentionally, of course.

In 1989, Bob was diagnosed for severe liver problems and his doctor told his family that he had only 6 months to live!

Refusing to give up, he retired for rehabilitation and started studying alternative healing methodologies and modalities. From 1989 till 1995, he devoted his time to studying all methods of restoring the body’s self-healing functions. He not only succeeded in curing himself but today, 19 years later, he is in the pink of health and his liver is in a better condition than most people.

To find out if his methodologies will be effective for other diseases and conditions, in 1996, he offered to treat patients free of charge. For 2 years, he treated many kinds of diseases and conditions successfully using his own unique methodologies, and proved that his methods are effective over a wide spectrum of diseases and conditions.

Now he treat patients for conditions such as

  • colon cancer, breast cancer
  • stroke prevention and stroke rehabilitation
  • migraine
  • insomnia
  • poor sleep quality
  • neck/shoulder pain
  • hypertension and
  • prevention of heart diseases, etc

ALL are treated, without surgery and/or chemotherapy, that is, purely non-surgical solutions. He also treats

  • all abnormal growths (such as tumors)
  • poor functions of liver, kidneys, pancreas etc
  • digestive disorders, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) etc

Dr Bob Koh also specializes in non-surgical solutions for slipped discs, nerve compression, sciatica, numbness in limbs, and paralysis. This may sound incredible but many patient who see Bob regain mobility without surgery in 90% of the cases of paralysis with no fractures to the spine. I’m sure he will share more through his blog posts.

Bob believes that his greatest service to mankind is his ability to find out the root cause of the disease and conditions, and in his ability to treat the root causes. His patients say that Bob offers them long-term, permanent solutions by not just treating the symptoms; but the root causes. Bob treats many patients in Asia, and even has patients from North America as well as Europe.

He is currently treating a 3rd Stage Colon cancer patient in Singapore. He will be sharing the progress with us soon. He believes that treating cancer with surgery and chemotherapy is not the best solution. The patient’s cancer specialist was frank enough to mention that after surgery and chemotherapy, 80% of patients will relapse within 2 years, and the remaining 20% will get cancer again within 5 years.

We’d like to welcome Bob to NurtureYourOwn as he shares with us his vast experience in treating patients over a wide spectrum of disease and conditions.

 Exciting Page Views!

We started Nurture Your Own with a few of us writing about our interests in healthy living and growing sprouts. Then we invited writers to join us. We were happy to get a few good posts going. So, imagine my surprise when I saw this:

High Page Views

Then I realised that this was due to just two excellent articles! One was Facts of Strokes and the Warning Signs by our new writer Bokjae and the other was 6 Steps to Flatten Your Abs by Vivienne. For those who wonder if this is for real, click on the image above to see the full page including the url address bar.

Well, this came at the same time as we found out that we were graciously ranked #7 over at Check Up Today’s Top 20 Blogs. Christmas sure came early this year!

We are not some web business gurus. We are just sprouting and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts. We are really happy to have to many views, that’s all. Just to share our joy and crow a little. Then we shall go back to writing nice posts about healthy foods, care for stroke and other good stuff.

We are Number 7 at Checkup Today’s Top 20 Blogs

Filed under: News — Vivienne Quek @ Sep 18th, 2007

We first conceptualized a “green” blog because we believe in the importance of healthy eating and healthy living. We have been talking quite a lot about sprouting because we have on board a real live sprout enthusiast – Taarak had been sharing with us quite a lot about sprouts. And from him, we learned of the importance of enzymes in sprouts. That spurred us to find out more on the benefits of eating “living food”, that is consuming food and juice raw or minimal cooking with heat.

We shared what we know from our own experience or information gathered by others. We believe everyone should know how healthy eating and healthy living can make a big difference to their lives, and to their loved ones. We are deeply honored when Checkup Today recognized our efforts by listing us at number 7 of it’s Top 20 Blogs. I’m sure this will encourage all the writers here to write even more conscientiously.

With Bokjae as our newest writer, we believe we have even more to offer our readers. We like to invite people who believe in healthy eating and healthy living to join us as a writer so that we can spread the healthy message faster and wider.
